"A great small hotel in a convenient location , but quieter and less touristy. The room was lovely, the twin at the top of the hotel. The staff were very kind. We were really pleased to find such a nice breakfast included in the price it was most welcome."

"Only stayed 1 night and the water boiler broke so we had no hot water to shower the day of our flight back to New York. Water was freezing cold! Never had any other issues and this was our 4th stay here…"

"Lovely hotel, room was beautiful. Was initially concerned when there were no curtains. As I’m a light sleeper, was worried about light coming in - but it was fine. I did find the room a little cold, my husband found it hot! But the room was gorgeous. We stayed in the deluxe conte. It had a lounge area, the bathroom was huge. "Charming! Not too far from the train station and close to some shops and restaurants. Main points of interest are walkable or you can take the water taxi which isn’t far. This was my second stay here and I would go back again!"

"Cute little hotel, with all the basic necessities you need. It was clean, beds were comfy, and it was in a great location near San Marco square. The only things I would change is a larger shower where the latch closes perfectly, providing free bottled water, and more space to set our bags so we don’t have to use the desk or floor. Lovely host at the front desk and coffee/tea available whenever you need it. "

"Loved this hotel - absolutely fantastic location literally at the foot of the Railto bridge so central to everything and with a water ferry and taxi rank right in front - supermarket next door and laundromat a 7 minute walk we fell in love with Venice and this quirky little hotel was a shining star "

"We had a wonderful stay here! From the second we walked through the door, the employees here were incredibly kind and welcoming. They were able to get us to our room earlier, as well as accommodate to the fact we had an early check out by leaving some breakfast in our room. Very thoughtful! Breakfast was abundant and delicious! We would definitely recommend staying here. Price to stay was affordable, too! "

"Located in the Rialto area of Venice, this is a quaint hotel. There is not an elevator, so if you cannot climb stairs, this is not for you. It is close to shopping and restaurants. The staff were very helpful and helped made our stay pleasant."

"Very happy with our stay. The host responded quickly by WhatsApp when I missed the email about how to enter the building. The place is very clean, close to the Vaporetto (don't even need to go up stairs and over bridges to get to the building), a very convenient location. Also has a kitchen with supplies that I wasn't expecting. I would definitely stay again if I get the opportunity to visit Venice again!"

"Location was perfect, only 500 meters from the train terminal and our room overlooking the grand canal provided awesome views of the city. Plenty of shops and dining were within walking distance. The staff was top notch and were very knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommend staying here when visiting Venice."

"Definitely would choose this location again. The hotel is in a perfect place if you drive to Venice and need to leave the car in those lots the hotel is 3-5 minutes walk. Also you can easily get to San Marco by foot. The hotel staff is very friendly and attentive to all your needs. The rooms are packed with amenities. "

"This was my first trip to Venice and the Hotel Cavalletto e Doge Orseolo was a great location for us to explore Venice from. Like most structures in Venice this obviously is an older building, but it is very well maintained and updated. They also had a very good full breakfast buffet included with the room. My only complaint was there was no hot water on our first morning, but they fixed that as soon as we notified them."

Amazing!!!!

"Ok! This place is a hidden gem!!! And i do mean hidden it is down an alley that most people would avoid! But i say this to you my friend! GO DOWN THAT ALLEY!! The rewards are more well than you can imagine! This hotel is an amazing kind and remakably cool place. It reminds me of a really upscale brothel in design. But the kindess of the staff is unparalleled. And the breakfast was amazing and the beds were awesome ... just sayin i liked this place"

"The location of the hotel is great! Staff were wonderful and friendly. Front desk Marteno was awesome! Super helpful. Google maps put us in the back of the hotel but someone who worked at the hotel knew we were confused and pointed us in the right direction. I would definitely use this hotel again. Location was everything. "

"Great location in Venice, very close to all the main sites and transport. Staff were super helpful, polite and made me feel welcome, thank you. The room was quite small but everything worked fine and suited a weekend stay. Be aware that the hotel is close to the main tourist areas so can be noisy in the evening. Breakfast was a good selection and there is a great view of Ponte di Realto from the balcony."
