"Absolutely stunning property and surroundings! House and rooms are nice and clean but public spaces felt small for the 7 rooms (14 people). It is nice if you are happy to socialize and share space. "We had booked and paid for two rooms as a family travelling with mum dad and two teenage kids (age 18 & 16). On arrival around 5 pm we had to wait 30 minutes and were then told there was only one room available as a guest had decided to stay longer. "Most beautiful location and nature. Host was so helpful and warm. Explained how to walk to Ella Rock from his property and gave us ideas of what to do locally. Even drew a map!! We had home cooked meals which were delicious And we went on the tea plantation tour at an old factory which he arranged and drove us too Beautiful stay and lovely host ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️"

Fantastic Family Stay

"An amazing experience, sleeping in the canopy of the forest. We saw lots of animals and fireflies at night. Accommodation is basic as you would expect but beds and bathroom were clean. Ella is a 5-10 minute walk away via the railway tracks. Route was easy to find as directed by our host. Breakfast was delicious and filling."

Central location in Ella

"We stayed at the Poomaz Peace palace for 3 nights. The accommodation is within minutes of the main street and because of the close proximity you can hear the live music each night. However the music usually does stop by 23:00. The room was spacious and clean and offers a fridge, kettle, hair dryer, soap, towels and has a shared balcony where breakfast is served each morning. The wifi connection was good and Poorna the owner was very responsive and available via whats app for any requests or problems. ( We made a request for a spare blanket and a take away breakfast on our last morning. Both requests were facilitated efficiently) Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Poomaz peace palace. The only niggle I had about the room was the placements of the plug sockets meant that you aren't able to charge your phone from the bedside. I would recommend Poomaz peace palace to anyone who wants to be close to Ella centre."

"We had an excellent stay in that property (3nights March 2025) It located on the hill so the views from the balcony are spectacular. Still just a few steps from the center of town. Very good breakfast with lots of options. Exceptional stuff, especially the manager who was very informative, helpful and kind. The only down was the bathroom which I'd say needed some renovations and the noise coming from the construction going on at the front of the hotel but I understand at some point they have to do it. I would definitely recommend this hotel!"

A little piece of paradise

"This hotel was a little slice of paradise! I’m not one for spending too much time on the hotel grounds but this hotel was an experience in itself. One of the best views of Ella - right between Ella Rock and Little Adam’s Peak. One of the best sunrise views. The garden is beautiful as well. They offer yoga daily in the garden which was truly a highlight of our time in Ella. Staff was very friendly and accommodating helping us book drivers and activities. It was truly a treat staying here! "

Incredible view

"Wow—best view on town! When I got to the property, I felt like “I don’t even need to go hiking, this view beats anything I could hike to.” You can literally see and hear a waterfall from the balcony! Super nice staff, good food, including a particularly nice breakfast spread. A little bit of a pain to hike up there from town, but doable in 10 minutes or a very short tuktuk. Room was perfectly good. Only quibble was that the walls (even though it was clear they had been padded) were very thin."
