"Book this pretty little place and you won’t regret it. I was welcomed by both lovely owners - a wife-husband team - upon arrival. The service throughout my stay was wonderful - with kind, friendly staff, ready to assist. The location just off the main drag and a little jump away from the sea - was perfect. The nice balconies were a great place to have a coffee or cool drink, overlooking lush foliage and the ocean. The bed was comfy and the room was well-appointed with a fridge, safe, and icy cold AC. There is a small attached restaurant serving simple dishes. The hotel is a few minutes walk from all the action of the city, including cafés and shops. Thanks for a memorable stay. I hope to return one day! "

"Stayed at The Palms for two days on a recent trip. It's in a safer part of Belize City, and the property is secure, well-kept, and modern. Rooms are spacious and up-to-date, with an attentive and friendly staff. There's a coffee shop around the corner, but you may have to do some walking if you want other food options. I was able to do some urban birding nearby on foot."

"The highlight of our stay were a pair of brawling iguanas right in front of our cabin! River Bend is a convenient 5 minute drive from the airport. The staff is exceptionally accommodating, and they went out of their way to help us feel (and be!) safe. It is a rustic location, which was perfect for us, as we are experienced rural travelers. Note that the last leg of the trip involves a 1 to 3 minute boat ride. There is a fully stocked grocery store nearby - once you are on the other side of the river it is a walkable distance, but I recommend that you strongly consider the taxi, as the driver gave us a lot of additional information."
