"Staff was very pleasant, but communication was difficult at best. I would recommend future guests to make sure you have WhatsApp or you could feel very isolated. The room was very clean, but not what we expected. Pictures did not seem to be a realistic representation of the property. "

"The apartment was clean and quiet. There was some construction going on at the time (upgrades to other units?), so the patio area was a bit cluttered but accessible. It will be really nice when the pool is installed!! For a week long stay, it would have been nice to have a sofa/loveseat to sit on in the apartment and perhaps a small chest of drawers, instead of having to sit on the bed to watch TV and leave clothes in the suitcase. Appreciated all the info provided and access to the bikes....

"Felt safe staying at the fenced and gated property. Very spacious 2 bedroom 2 bathroom on the ground floor. Each bedroom had own A/C unit. Living room only has a ceiling fan and a 2nd floor fan. Not walking to restaurant but Pots and pans and dishes provided, breakfast is brought from a restaurant which you can request to go, the staff and shuttle driver were very accommodating. It had above average cleanliness and one bathroom window screen was missing. I hate to write the following,...

"We were looking for the wrong address at first. My fault. We looked for #2 and it was actually #10. Once we found the bakery we were home free! The place was mostly clean except for a dirty hand towel and wash cloth. It was just plain Jane. The mattress on the bed even said “basic”. But it worked fine for a quick overnight."

"We spent 2 night here while doing a cave tubing excusion. The location was easy to find with the help of the taxi at the airport. The unit was as pictured and very clean. It is about a 20-30 min walk to the belize sign and restaurants down near the water, on the way there is a grocery store. It was nice having access to a fridge and cutlery in the unit so we could make our own breakfasts and store dinner left overs. "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Carmen’s Rental in Belize City. It was a great central location to take in local tours from and we felt very safe to walk around the area as well. Easy 10 minute taxi drive to downtown. Carmen was very easy to communicate with and provided recommendations for restaurants, tours and taxi operators."

"We stayed here for two nights in March with our 9 and 15 yr old. The location felt remote but was only 30min from the airport. The accommodation was clean and spacious. We loved the front deck and indoor hammock. Everyone was so kind and helpful! Shanna organized tours and tickets for us at great rates. "Be prepared to live out of your suitcase, no storage, very small casita. Lots of issues with hot water, due to being of grid. Long ways from San Pedro or secret beach so golf cart is a must. "

Coolest "Airport Hotel" Ever!

"I had a unique and memorable stay at River Bend. While the property itself is a bit run-down and has the feel of a bargain-basement summer camp, it was surprisingly clean and comfortable inside. The real highlight was the amazing staff, who were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. The resident dogs added an extra layer of charm to the place! The bar was open on arrival, the staff was ready to order-in food for dinner, and the breakfast was fresh and ready at 7:00 AM. It may not be a luxury resort, but it’s certainly the coolest airport hotel you could ask for—perfect for those seeking a laid-back, friendly atmosphere. They picked me up from the airport in a boat and took me back promptly the next day! All in all, great value for the price, and I’d happily stay again."
