"Great off the beaten path location for exploring the Sol de Mayo Waterfall and the surrounding Sierra de la Laguna mountain range near the small town of Santiago. We really enjoyed the hike to the waterfall and exploring the Cañon de la Zorra (Fox Canyon) above the falls. The accommodations weren't fancy, but we did enjoy the peace and tranquility of the desert landscape and the beautiful oasis tucked away amid the arid canyon. Star gazing at night from the roof top was the perfect way to unwind at the end of the day. As a side note, if you get down to the falls early in the day, you should have the place all to yourself before the crowds/visitors from the surrounding areas show up. I would recommend calling ahead of time if you plan to eat at the Rancho or in the town of Santigo (about 20-minutes away), as we found that most places were closed on the Wednesday that we visited."

"We stayed 2 nights and loved this place! The rooms are great, each with a huge balcony and ocean view. It is quiet, very private, great for couples. Service was absolutely amazing! Food was great (above all breakfast) and restaurant prices were very good considering the hotel is middle of nowhere. It tends to get very windy in certain months so plan accordingly. And it is hard to get to! But you can make it in a regular car (we did). There are only dirt roads and they are rough. Go through El Cardonal (even if coming from Bariles or Cabo), that road is somewhat better. Apple maps suggests that route whereas Google wants to take you directly. Or rent 4x4 ;) "

"Un hôtel à Cabo Pulmo qui est très bien à 5mns à pied de la mer et du "centre ville". La Chambre est grande, la salle de bain est fonctionnelle et bien, il y a un coffre fort ce qui est devenu rare dans certains hotels mexicains mais pratique pour y mettre à l'abris ses papiers et son argent. La chambre dispose d'une terrasse privative. Il y a un restaurant dans l'hotel mais que je n'ai pas testé préférant la vue sur le bord de mer. Sur la plage il y a beaucoup de cailloux mais à certains endoits il y a du sable pour poser sa serviette et aller se baigner, la plage était pratiquement desert en ce mois de Mars ce qui est très bien. "

"Hotel Palmas is a nice resort property on the beach. All the staff from the front desk to the cleaning staff and the restaurant staff were very nice and made us feel welcome. The room and premises were very clean and we enjoyed walking to shops and restaurants in town. We also enjoyed treatments at the small spa at the hotel. "

"Lovely spot beautiful beach and pool and nice uograded room with little fridge. Food was delicious. We had a car so drove into Los barrilos and todo santos la Paz Santiago etc all from there on day trips. "

"I honestly don’t know if we could have found a better place to stay for the month of February. The house was perfect for our family with everyone having a space that met their needs. We spent a lot of time just watching the rays jump and the whales spout from our comfy lounge chairs. We had various birds visit and one day even several horses and a foal visit the lot next to us and we got to feed them carrots from the balcony. We had several special dinners and the kitchen had everythigg by we needed to cook what we wanted. We walked the beach every day collecting beach glass and sea shells. When the winds picked up we just moved to the front of the house that was still pleasantly warm. All in all, we would highly recommend and are anxious to come back. "
