"Awesome location! You feel like you have your own secret passage to home in the middle of everything! All the major sights of York are easily walkable. Weirdly, Expedia didn’t give us a street number which made it hard for us and our taxi driver to find. The room was very spacious, with everything we needed. The shower was awesome. We were greeted warmly and appreciated being able to leave our bags for a while after we checked out. "

"The overall stay was lovely i didnt stay the 2 nights as my business was concluded in the first day. The room was very clean amd the beds were really comfortable plenty of tea and coffee in the room and also bottles of water. Will defo be staying here again in the future."

"We stayed for 3 nights for a Christmas shopping trip, the hotel is in a perfect location very close to York Minster and with lovely bars and restaurants on the doorstep. We were met with a very warm welcome, our room was small but had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend this lovely boutique Guest House"

"Very quiet and and clean. Typical English cottage taken from a history movie, with a homey feeling. Loved staying there. Walked to town easily when the weather was good, or took the buss (station very close). Would love to stay there again when visiting York. "

"Slightly complicated check in process with nobody on site and having to call a mobile number. However, once I was in everything was very clear. My room was up 2 very steep sets of stairs. It was compact but clean, with a small ensuite. The shower pressure was very weak unfortunately, but otherwise the room was excellent value for money.
