The food both breakfast and dinner is excellent and the beers in the Malt House and sister pub the Swan inn are also excellent.The staff are helpful and friendly , the rooms are comfortable with good en suite showers . "You are never sure what you will find staying in a pub. This is a gem. Great selection of beer, proper cobs and pork pie and, despite being a busy pub, the room was very quiet and supremely comfortable. The staff were all so friendly. I tried hard to find a single word to sum up breakfast. Stupendous? Splendid? I settled on magnificent!!!"

"I was given details of a specific flat with entry to obtain the keys, panicked when keys weren’t there , quickly told how to obtain spares, when I opened the door there was already someone there.
