"The hotel exceeded our expectations, we didn't expect 4-5 star service from the budget hotel with such low price, and we read through the previous reviews, so we really expected an old traditional place rather than modern network hotels. However it was better than in the reviews. The hosts are very kind and helpful, the breakfasts and dinners were excellent. It's incredible how 1 woman can cook so many delicious meals for guests. The owners are such hardworking people! The room was very clean. So actually for this low price we got a clean room, hot water, cosy bed, delicious British breakfast. The only drawback was the internet speed, it was very slow, but we stopped there for the hiking and exploring nature, so low internet speed could be a part of the whole plan to get rest of city civilisation. It was a bit chilly in the room but we asked the owner and he immediately brought us an additional heater, we didn't turn it on though because it wasn't that bad. "

"Difficult to fault this place for the money paid. Rooms are spotlessly clean, if a little dated. Staff are very friendly and helpful and allowed us to store our bikes in the room for a bike park Wales trip the following day. Good breakfast for all. Would definitely recommend and would stay again"

"OMG I am amazed that this place wasn't better frequented when i stayed last night. The rooms are well furnished, clean and very comfortable. The bar area is nicely decorated and the food was delicious, it was curry night yum! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again. "Lovely pool area and polite staff, unfortunately bins in the rooms had not been emptied from previous guests. Paid for late check out to use the pool area and would say this was worth it. breakfast fresh made and very good."

"Fantastic self contained apartments in a lovely location. Immaculately kept and a big comfy bed! Staff very friendly and came to see us to make sure we'd settled in OK. I would definitely stay here again."

"Very clean and well equipped. Check in information good. Getting information on how to check out at 1:55 in the morning was less than helpful as it woke us up. We have to leave some alerts on as husband receives medical alerts overnight. It may not be a problem for those who can switch a do not disturb on. Also had to message to request an internet password for the medical monitoring. Owner was very helpful and provided it straight away but it would be helpful to have it available if internet is included as there was no signal in the accommodation at all. Would be lovely in winter as it appears to have underfloor heating which we were unable to turn off. Kitchen and hallway floors were very hot when you walked on them. Not great last night when it was about 18 degrees but would be lovely at any other time. "

"Everyone on the trip had an amazing time at this property. The host is fast to reply and was accommodating to our needs. They provided us with everything we asked for and were friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the lounge area and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The backyard was great and we had a bbq there. The corner shop was a five minute walk and had everything we were missing. I would highly recommend this place for an affordable yet comfortable stay in the Brecon beacon area."
