"Great stay, rooms are beautiful and the renovation in the rooms is really good! The hotel still has a lot of work going on but the rooms are clean, warm and very comfortable. The staff are friendly polite and the breakfast was great! The lady this morning was absolutely brilliant, caring and asked if we needed anything else. "The room, large and clean with comfortable bed, nice clean bathroom. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Food was good, breakfast cooked to order and lots of choice. The location of the Hotel is great for Shaftesbury town, a 12 minute walk takes you to the centre. We really liked it. We didn’t use the pool but it looks nice, although it seemed to be constantly used by locals mainly. Overall very happy "

"Stayed in room no1 and although I knew the bed was on another level I had not realised it was on another floor. With corkscrew stairs to get there. Not ones to use if you were drunk. I would recommend leaving your case down stairs as there is a wardrobe there and awkward carrying a case up those stairs. Loved the room though. "
