"Fishermans Cot is situated in a truly beautiful position beside the River Exe. Many of the roads in the area are very narrow and demading, especially if you are unable to occasionally reverse on meeting a caravan in tow or a wide vehicle. Food at the hotel was good in quality apart from the Continental Breakfast that had a poor and very limited variety of items. Staff were very friendly and attentive; accommodation warm, clean and comfortable and overall value and eg bar prices competitive. "

Booked & prepaid thru Hotels.com and when we arrived we were a little taken aback to be charged an extra £20 for our little dog. It would have been nice to have known about this extra fee beforehand as it came as a bit of a shock , I didn’t get any reply from accommodation following my messaging them & also leaving a telephone message to say we’re bringing our dog. "I booked at the last minute via Expedia and selected the breakfast option. Slightly cheaper than the "official" Greene King site. Fantastic greeting by staff - the checking in procedure was very slick. The room was clean (two single beds - I only needed one). Bathroom had recently been refurbished.
