"We had a short break in Winchester and the hotel was perfectly placed for us. A short walk to the City centre. Very helpful staff."

"We stayed one night before departing on a cruise. Nice room, actually a studio apartment, was more than we needed. Quiet at night and.comfortable bed. Café was under renovation, but the White Star Cafe is two blocks away and great for lunch and breakfast. Plenty of historical sights to see within walking distance."

"This hotel is an old coach house which I love old building, it's a bit dated, but our room was clean and good value , booked breakfast which was excellent value £5.99 staff friendly , can't fault it, we walked to the cruise ship about 10 mins walk , will use again "

"Beds were comfortable and the room was well furnished, clean and pleasant. It would have been nice to have decaffeinated tea bags available, as my partner doesn't drink caffeine. But the big disappointment is having to pay for car parking even overnight. We noted that many car parks in Winchester were free on Sundays. I did know about this prior to booking. Also taking a £50 deposit showed a lack of trust in customers. I think the car parking charges are unpopular with the hotel's customers."

"Overall a good stay - The night porter( manager) was excellent. Comfy bed.. Dissapointed by the breakfast - Cold plates! Hot food not that hot and scrambled eggs had gone green as left for too long. Coffee on side not individual pots, cold even when new lot made and cups too small, so kept having to get up for refill."
