"We searched for a long time before we found this property. It is beautiful and charming. The food was excellent. This location is family owned. They were helpful and friendly. It was clean. The communication was excellent. If you have the opportunity to stay here take it! You won’t be disappointed. There were 3 couples in our party. "

"We stayed here for one night in a triple, which looked just like in the pictures. The room was fairly sparse with three twin beds, a tiny table and three stools, and a wardrobe. We came during the off-season when there were very few people in the hotel, so we had our hallway to ourselves. Each hallway is named after a different European country, with the individual rooms named after major cities, which fits into the theme of the European guesthouse. "We were cycling around the area and this was a great place to stop. Fantastic staff that helped store our bikes and gave us welcome drinks after a long ride. Delicious breakfast and dinner and also a convenient supermarket nearby. Thanks for a great stay. "

"Freundlich. sauber, Frühstück tip-top. Zimmer zur Straße etwas lärmig. Nur die Ankunft gestaltete sich schwierig, da wir gemäß schriftlicher Bestätigung um 1500 Uhr hätten Einchecken können, standen wir vor verschlossener Türe. Das Hotel öffnet am Wochenende erst ab 1700 Uhr!"

"Our stay was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Our room had a small veranda. The owners made us very welcome, and gave us good advice. The Hochschwartwald card was excellent allowing us to visit Freiburg, Titisee and Donaueschingen by train and take a boat tour of the lake, all at no cost. We were really lucky to have found this small hotel."
