"A spacious, very comfortably furnished large house. Extremely well facilitated kitchen with a beautiful, old wooden dining table. Views to die for! Minor points: GF bedroom off the dining area needs blackout curtains and its bathroom needs frosted glass."

"Just after Christmas I knew it wouldn't be long before i'd need my Exmoor fix. Porlock is my favourite place to be based. I went online and Hurlestone Apartment came up at a good price. It looked really homely from the photos, was pet friendly and it had parking, so I decided to book it for a long weekend. When we arrived we were greeted by Stephen. He was so welcoming. We immediately felt at home. He showed us up to the flat. As per the pictures, it felt really homely. It was well presented and very clean. Kitchen wise, it was well equipped and we had everything we needed for our four night stay. The view from the lounge and kitchen is amazing. You can see out over Hurlestone Point and Bossington Woods and then out to sea, with Wales in the distance. During our break we had issues with the vacuum cleaner in the flat. Chris and Stephen were very apologetic and soon sorted us out with a replacement. Nothing was too much trouble during our stay and we were made to feel extremely welcome at all times. We will definitely be staying with them again."

"2 families with 5 kids in total plus dog and 4 adults. House was ideal. On a main road but only used the back door which opened onto the garden so completely safe for kids and dog. Walks were amazing and town was delightful. Heating was on low when we arrived but warmed up quickly and there was coal for us to light the fire. Rooms were great for our needs and bathrooms at either end of the property meant a good spread for access. Amazing welcome package with loads of useful things. Confirmation went into my trash but when I rang it was resent straight away. The owner was also very helpful. Great time had by all!!"

"Brilliant stay, Helen and Shaun were excellent hosts. Studio with a private garden proved excellent for the dog with plenty of room for us all. Excellent breakfast choice every morning, with Shaun the king of poached eggs, and a selection of jams and marmalade’s sold by the tearoom. Helen and Shaun are a wealth of local knowledge with great dog walks or pubs to eat at. The garden is nice and secure so the dog can just come and go with no fear of being able to get out. "

"Plenty of room for the family and fury friends to get together in this well and comfortably provisioned holiday home in the lovely village of Porlock. Ideally placed for exploration of surrounding area and beautiful walks from the door. Also a great selection of pubs within close walking distance."
