"Great apartment but the building is undergoing some massive renovation and there was a lot of noise during the day and construction scaffolds everywhere. Both balconies in the apartment had scaffolding out front so we couldn’t use them and had to keep the windows closed. The area isn’t great, typical university type vibe. Didn’t feel unsafe at all, but lots of graffiti. If we go back I’d probably choose a place closer to piazza maggiorie. "

It's very centrally located right next to the main city square with walkable distance to all the main city attractions. "I'm sorry to have to leave such a negative review, however some truth telling needs to happen on expedia. First, when I first booked it appeared that the property was only 2-3km from the city, in fact it is 5km from the city center which is revealed only after you book. We asked for a 15.00h check in and had to wait outside an apartment complex not knowing if we were even at the correct property. There was only instructions on how to use the stove top. Nil instructions for washing machine or how...

"What a find. On the Santo Stefano Square in the heart of the city, up only 1 flight of stairs, very spacious. The food in Bologna is amazing and the archetecture is stunning. A couple of small areas for improvement. The paint in the bathroom is flaking away. The matresses on the floor in the main room should be rep[laced with couches."
