"We were on the main road side so was a bit noisy however it was not particularly a problem for us. The position of the hotel is good for attendance at the civic hall. "

"We really enjoyed our stay and cannot fault the hotel at all. Lovely modern bedroom. The Garden bar was large with TV screens showing the news and football. If i have a piece of advice, it would be to be reminded that there is an extra cost to use the pool area. This is currently £20 per person for 2 hours. This has to be booked, you cant just walk in. Once you are aware of that, then there are no surprises. This is quite different than lots of hotels and can add quite a lot to your...

"Rooms were very clean and well laid out. Lady on reception was very helpful, We arrived early and were able to leave our bags with reception and get changed in the leisure facilities which was great."

"The grounds and the main part of the hotel were excellent as were the staff. The only disappointment was the fridge in our room the motor of which kept kicking in on a regular basis. This meant that we couldn’t get a proper silent night as the noise of this was quite intrusive. Other than that, it was a good stay. "

"We booked a suite with a sofa bed and a basic double room, to accommodate our family, and both rooms were excellent. Very comfortable and clean. Great location, great staff. We would absolutely stay here again!"

"Beautiful hotel. We stayed in a Junior Suite and the room was spacious, well equipped and comfortable with a large bathroom and a separate seating and eating area. We had some nice food from Room Service and the service was excellent. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. "

Shrewsbury visit

"Excellent visit, reception staff professional yet friendly and helpful. Room as clean, warm and comfortable. Would have preferred a bath instead of the shower but this in no way reflects badly on our stay with you. We travel a lot nowadays following my retirement but this was our first visit to Holiday Inn. We will definitely use you again. 😀😀😀"

"We arrived to be told the authorities decided to close certain roads in the town on a Saturday and Sunday after COVID until 4pm .The car park was a 3 minute walk away but getting to it by car proved difficult as the SAT nav wanted to take us along the closed roads .After much frustration we got there in the end .It's sign posted for use of guests of the lion hotel but you can parkin it if you are staying at the Prince Rupert. Having got that advice out of the way on to the Prince Rupert hotel. The ladies on the reception were wonderful.Pleasant ,warm welcoming and very helpful.The hotel had a good feeling about it and much bigger than we expected with a lounge bar and restaurant.Breakfast was included in the cost which was very nice and there was continental and cooked available.We had a twin room with a walk in shower as that was our choice.It was clean with everything you would need for the stay The hotel was in the middle of everything.What a beautiful place to visit . Quirky shops and an abundance of places to eat and have a drink.We ate at a Spanish restaurant and sat for 2 hours eating delicious tapas . I would definitely visit Shrewsbury again and certainly stay at the Prince Rupert.Next time we would be prepared for the parking!!!!"

Lovely hotel.

"I was upgraded to the Holiday Inn next door as the International Hotel was closed for the Christmas period. Lovely hotel. Staff excellent. Very clean and comfortable. Overall, very pleasant stay. Only issue was the heating but this was dealt with immediately on request. I would definitely book this hotel again."

"Beautiful hotel with super friendly staff! Room was cosy and warm with lots of lovely touches like books, board games and gorgeous toiletries. Situated right in the centre of town and car parking on site. Great value for a super stay and nice breakfast. "
