It was absolutely marvellous. The Manager ‘Charlie’ was amazing, so knowledgeable about the history of the hotel and area. The staff were amazing the bar and restaurant were great. "Property is large with ample parking and couple of minites from centre which has plenty going on. Thebrooms are large also, although a little dated, the facilities downstairs have all been recently refurbished and look great. All the staff were welcoming and friendly and the breakfast was great. The only issue we had was when we were checking in, in which we had paid for an early check in, the reception desk was not manned, nobody came to assist for nearly 10 minutes and although we had paid for an early check in for 1pm we didnt get to the room until after 1.15pm, which wouldnt have been too much of an issue but when paying £20 for each room for 2 hours you dont expect to lose the first 15 minutes of this waiting at reception to get served and then waiting to see if housekeeping had the rooms ready. Other than that we had a great stay and would stay again but certainly not be requesting an early check in."
