"In the area for a funeral. The cottage gave us lots of room to be together and relax. The beds were comfortable with extra pillows, and plenty of plush bath towels. Kitchen was well-stocked. "When we got there we had to clear spider webs off the doors to open them up. (That should have been a clue) It was hot a stuffy in the house, but they left fans since there is no air conditioning (thank you). "It was nice and quiet. Very homey and an escape from the city life."

"The property was very well maintained and very clean! It had plenty of natural light and the lighter color paints throughout helped brighten the place up. Beds were comfy as well as the living room sofa. Driveway was a little tricky for parking if you don't use the owner's suggestion. Property has all the pots, pans and cooking utensils to make your own meals as well as some condiments."

"My family, 12 lb dog and I stayed here to get away from the New Year's ruckus. This was an excellent way to do that. The house was very spacious and comfortable so we settled in quickly. The weather was very cold when we got there, but thankfully our host left us heaters in our rooms and we had them on while the house warmed up. "Nothing about this review is personal. I think it's only fair that people have the info before spending time & money. When arriving, we initially thought our stay would be in the cute home next door. Though the address I was given wasn't the next door address, we thought surely we wouldn't be staying in someone's back yard. We were wrong. Parking is in the host's driveway, behind their personal vehicles. We were reluctant to park there because we didn't want to block anyone in, but the host...

"My wife and our little dog stayed here for the last weekend in March. We really liked the kitchenette that allowed us to make & keep food/snacks with us for our daily excursions. I so appreciate a 12 cup coffee maker in the room that allowed me to use my own filters & coffee to enjoy whilst walking across the highway to sip by the river's edge. Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. It was nice to drive just 15 minutes to get a fresh hot pizza from town. We love exploring mountain roads and got as far as Poison Creek campground at 35.934845, -118.396905 then the snow/ice was too deep to continue to Big Meadow via Forest Route 22S12. That being said, we will stay here again in the future and bring steaks so we can grill on the deck. Thanks Corral Creek Lodge!"
