"A great hotel with an excellent breakfast, it's the perfect place to stay if you want to explore the mountains/nature in the area. The bar and restaurant below are great as well especially in winter. The room was very clean, quiet and well stocked. Great staff too, would definitely book this hotel again next time we visit the area. "

"We had a lovely stay at TheRoyal Oak. Staff are very friendly. The rooms were kept very clean and fresh towels every day. We ate in the restaurant every night and the food was excellent. All in all it was a great stay."

"Room was clean, staff were friendly, food was decent. My supply of coffee was topped up with extra sachets when the staff saw that I'd bought my own jar of coffee after I ran out. The atmosphere of the hotel is pleasant and cosy. The hotel is a short walk from the town centre, which makes it cheaper than more central places - but if you can't stand a five-minute walk, what are you doing in Betws-y-Coed? :)"

"I stayed at The Dragon for 5 nights in October 2024 and was fully satisfied with the accommodations. The room was much better than expected, fairly large, very clean and comfy. The curtains could be a little thicker as I like a very dark room but it wasn't an issue given the time of year. The bathroom had good water pressure and plentiful hot water. Great location, fantastic locally sourced breakfast, with standout attention to detail, like little choclates in the room, and if you run out of tea and coffee there is extra in a box on the landing. There are lot of choices in and around Betwys but we felt this was definitely one of the best. "

"What an amazing place to stay! Both Gareth & Rana were amazing hosts and very welcoming. The property was outstanding, and could not fault any of our stay. Would definitely recommend and would stay again. If you want to visit Snowdon and the area, this is the place to stay. "

"Absolutely lovely place! Stayed here last minute due to change in plans. Hosts were so attentive! In my 30s, this isn’t a place I’d normally stay if I’m honest, but wouldn’t hesitate to come back! "Comfortable room with en-suite toilet & shower. Pleasant staff, bar prices very reasonable. Good atmosphere in pub areas. Food not bad, (cheese sauce on nachos not good) Would recommend as a good base for surrounding attractions."
