"Overall it was a good stay for our 14 day visit. My only plight was the condition of our first room had a missing window pane and resulted in a very cold room. The hotel would then change our room in less then 24 hours. After our room change we had a much greater room but lacked certain amenities like control of the heater weaker plumbing. It's in a great location mind you and great for anyone looking to experience the heart of liverpool and it's culture. Staff was great and very helpful....

"Everything about the hotel was excellent. Staff at check in were wonderful, going out of their way too look up actives for us for the following day that we'd not yet been able to book. Room was spotless and had been changed ahead of time from a king to two twins as per my request. Breakfast was phenomenal, cooked breakfast all the usual far done well (hash browns were perfect!). "Lovely old property located perfectly for train station and the city centre. Room was a big old converted loft , the bar and restaurant was really nice and the bartender kept a supply of reasonably priced cocktails to the table. Only gripe ,could do with some of the little rubber buffers on the corridor and room doors as they don’t half make a bang when all the drunk guests arrive back late and possibly signs in the lift and corridor area asking guests to be quiet when returning late. "

"It’s not worth the price we paid, we booked for 11 person but the bed can only accommodate 10 person that my son end up sleeping on the floor , upstrair toilet floor is leaking down to the kitchen, we emailed the host on the first day but no reply til we check out, So we have to share the the down floor toilet, the hot tub is dirty that we end up cleaning for us to be able to use, dusty and loads of cubweds in one of the bedroom downstairs."

"Great property with a cosy, well stocked/furnished house. Beautiful surroundings and animals to see. Felt like a home from home. A short 15 minutes from Ruthin. The hot tub was heated ready for our arrival. The listing says wood fired but it’s actually an electric one. Limited wood for the wood stove inside, but could be purchased as an extra. Suitable for children and pet friendly, but they aren’t allowed on the furniture due to previous accidents/territory marking. Would definitely...

"We stayed in a family room. It was motel style as in you have a private entrance. This was great as we brought our dog. The room was clean, warm, comfortable and spacious. There was an iron, ironing board, hairdryer even a small fridge and a good sized TV. Everything we needed. The bar was lovely and reasonable, however I was unaware it closed when a function is on and I found this a little disappointing. The function is loud but did finish at exactly 12. Fully recommend and will stay again as it’s great for us visiting family. "

2 day family visit.

"We spent 2 nights at the talardy in the run up to Christmas. I know the location well and is convenient access to the north wales trunk road. Our room was a decent size set up for a family of 2 adults and separate single beds for our children. It was clean with all the usual amenities. It wasn't in the room but ironing board and iron are also available on request. The bathroom was good with decent shower/bath and always hot water. Minor snags were our key cards were resetting in the morning which meant I had to pop to reception twice to have it reprogrammed. Our friends joined us for breakfast on the second day. They weren't too impressed with it but I thought breakfast was good on the whole. I ordered a cooked breakfast and you can help yourself to continental in addition with no further cost. The stay was a good one, I would recommended and would stay again. "
