"Pretty expensive the first night..Especially if you have a pet…$70 for the room plus $20 for a pet & that's per Night $50 deposit…So all together $140 for the first night… but the $50 is refundable once you check out… if paid in cash you get immediately but on a card up to 7 days…"

"A fabulous place with the most excellent hosts we’ve ever interacted with! The house itself is completely usable and every single amenity is included: all kinds of pots, pans, differently sized plates and cups and glasses, foil and parchment paper-it lacks absolutely nothing! Add to that the historic nature of the house-so fun to stay in the old jail and to be able to see evidence of it. The patios are excellent and the creek is right out back; a couple of blocks from the front of the house are coffee shops (one with incredible tacos) and stores. Easy drive to Chalk Ridge Falls and Lake Belton. This is a one of a kind property, and the responsiveness of the hosts is out of this world. Ten out of ten for everything about our stay!"

"House was fantastic, spacious and so clean. Kitchen was big and well equipped. Layout was fabulous and that primary bedroom with the lake views was amazing. I'm almost glad that the weather wasn't ideal because we had a fantastic time enjoying the house and could truly relax. We did have one very nice day and hiking nearby was great and we came back and saw a fox as we sat on the back observation deck - we saw deer every evening as well. Definitely planning another trip at a different time of year when we can make full use of the outdoor space as well."
