I love going to the scarecrow festival each year, A fantastic day out for the family and very cheap too. This event greatly shows the communitys spirit in the hard work and effort they put in. They choose a different theme each year which is inspired by a member of the public, 2015 was "icons of history" and this was winner from 2015. "I want to rake free".

"We stayed just for two nights to celebrate my husband's 50th, our family with two other families - 6 adults and 6 children (aged between 4 and 10). The property fantastically suited our needs and the host was great. We visited Little Owls Farm Park on the Saturday - just 10 minutes away - which we would highly recommend for a day out if you're staying with children."

"i have used this hotel many times, fantastic value for money and in the perfect location, it never disappoints, reception always very polite and helpful,,there was a rock concert nearby and the hotel was full to the brim of costumed Ghost fans and Ghouls,,,quite scary but extremely well behaved and pleasant "

"I stayed at The Bloc Hotel during a short trip to Birmingham for an event, and overall it was a great experience. The location is really convenient – just a short walk from the train station and close to the Bullring, which made things a lot easier after a long journey. It was a relief to know I didn’t have far to go once I arrived in the city. I mainly used the hotel to drop off my things and get some rest, as I was out all day at the event. For that purpose, it was ideal – affordable, clean, and comfortable. A nice touch was the free water bottles provided in the room, which was appreciated. One small downside: there wasn’t a mirror in the bedroom, only in the bathroom. So if you’re someone who needs a mirror for makeup or getting ready, that might be a bit inconvenient. It would be great if they added one to the room in the future. Overall, a solid choice for a short and functional stay in the city."
