"The place was as described! It was a rocky ride over as we drove for about an hour on bumpy dirt roads the last hour to the house. It's best to reach the house before sunset. The driveway is a little steep so you definitely need 4 wheel drive to drive up and also to get into Islita. The property manager who lives at the bottom of the driveway came and greeted us when we arrived. She was nice and showed us around. The bedrooms each have an a/c unit. Just be aware there can be the occasional bug....

"Luna Azul was the perfect base of operations for our vacation. We absolutely loved the remote and peaceful atmosphere, and especially the incredible views. Days spent at the house around the pool were a great way to relax and unwind. The location was also ideal for exploring the Nicoya peninsula. We enjoyed a coffee plantation tour, horseback riding, surfing at several of the nearby beaches, and touring the small beach towns. Finally, the caretaker Antonio really took the experience to the next...

"One week before arrival i replied to the emails send by vacasa/vrbo; 3 emails to ask for local persons contact. Did not receive any reply on the emails. So we had to wait by the gate. Had to call to vacasa USA, several calls, a mess. Once entered the property, big was the surprise when we saw the walls full of dirty traces in all chambers! Oxidation from the fans made a complete mess. Bedsheets, walls, all full of sprinkled oxidation. Also only 1 towel per person for the whole stay (4days!)...
