"I stayed here for one night before catching a flight to another island. At €100 per night – the most expensive rate I’ve paid on Cape Verde – it was a huge disappointment. As a Gold Member on Expedia, I was promised a bottle of sparkling wine, which was missing. Instead, my room came with a cockroach (photo attached). Maybe it drank the wine for me. The air conditioning didn’t work, the shower drain was clogged, and mosquitoes thrived in the stagnant water. Housekeeping seemed questionable too...

"Great hotel for the price. Marble staircases and landings with good breakfast. Five mins to the beach and the restaurant strip. For good restaurant (shabby outside) out of hotel go right and first left. Then it’s on the left. Lots of other restaurants in area. Never had bad meal. Hotel will collect from airport (20 min ride) for 20 euro. Recommended."

"We had an amazing stay at the Branco Suites! The people working there were incredibly friendly and so helpful too! The apartment was just perfect! The bed was very comfortable and the the pillows were the best ones I have ever slept on!! It was very quiet there and also just a couple of minutes walk to the beach!! and all the restaurants and shops. I would highly recommend staying at this place! Thank you! Xx"

"A bit of hair in the sink and no hot water. Other than that good to sleep for a night. Stuff extremely friendly and helpful. Good area. "

"Wonderful comfy beds . Nice breakfasts. Helpful staff. Clean. Piri piri restaurant on site was a disaster. Husband ordered a pizza finally got it .mine didnt turn up. Waiter said sorry coming in few minutes , half an hour later turned up with a plate of seafood rice. We were only one of 4 people. Just a bad night , he said he was sorry and no charge. Think someone was spaced out!"

"We got #7, a huge suite! Comfortable bed, hot water, all very nice. Only downside is the bar playing music until midnight, but they did warn us via message in advance and the music was turned off right at midnight. Double windows would be a huge help with that. Otherwise, super friendly staff, great breakfasts, and right on the beach. "

"You have access to everything you need with a breathtaking beach. Everything you need and more is accessible with a distance walk. In the center of it all. The house is beautiful, clean and worth the stay. They will reach out to accommodate rides if you need it. The manager respond right away. Thank you for making my stay so lovely. I will return back for sure! I stayed there because of my sister and i recommend it. "
