Food was excellent for foodies, easily managed food allergies in group, and very courteous. Want a true English experience stay here! "Beautiful old pub. Downstairs absolutely amazing, rooms need some attention, especially bathroom. We had a twin room and found the beds a bit small. But the staff are great, very helpful and friendly. Short walk to centre of town and directly opposite the beautiful abbey."

"Charming and lovely property and owners. Our room was so comfortable and elegant that I'm considering decorating one of our bedrooms to match. Tiny little touches like fresh cookies each day and returning to our room with soft music playing on the radio elevated the experience. I wish that we could have stayed longer, and we will definitely come back. We enjoyed the breakfast, what a great way to start the day! The tasting menu and service at dinner was exceptional. We will definitely be back!"

"A very nice stay. Though the rooms are above a pub, it was a quiet sleep. No on-site parking, but right across the street there is a municipal parking garage which wasn't too expensive. The Cathedral is a very short walk. The inn provided a nice continental breakfast. The pub scene was quite nice...the locals were friendly and welcomed this American."
