"Staff — excellent. Food — very good. Location — amazing. But two minor quibbles. 1. Bar closes at 6 — right when I start thinking about a cocktail. There is a space above the reception that is set up like a bar but was never open the two times we stayed there. 2. Rooms are luxurious but there is no glass in the windows/doors so when it is hot (most of the time in Zihuatanejo) you have all the shutters closed for A/C so no view at all. "The property was absolutely perfect in accommodating the three couples that formed our gathering … the piscina and beach were exactly what was needed to unwind …the stag at Tesoro, although not affiliated with VRBO , were very helpful and friendly … one of the highlights was Axel coordinating a cook to prepare us two traditional Mexican dinners ( one each week of our stay) in the well equipped kitchen in the unit. All in all, the best vacation our group has had in Ixtapa in years"

"If anything, the pictures do not do not do the casa don pepe justice. The location was great - right outside the walls was the village of Barra de Pototsi. Our family enjoyed the small shops, restaurants and friendliness there. Our kids played soccer with the local children and even attended a birthday party of a local girl. "Marea has great management and staff, from Sofia and Luisa who helped me book tours that were just right for my family to Jaime and Jenni at the front desk and the amazing bar and restaurant crew - Fernando, Rodrigo, Carlos and Tirso! Marea is on a 20 km stretch of pure white sand each with almost no one around! The property is beautiful and the villas with plunge pools on the deck, beautiful interiors and comfortable furniture make it hard to want to go beyond your own front (patio) doors! "
