"The property was beautiful and overall we enjoyed our stay! The pool and the available excursions made it very enjoyable. Our only criticism is that we we’re originally told the restaurant would be open the first night we were there and it wasn’t. Instead we got a “pizza party” this was fine except the cost was not presented to us prior. The pool was also closed early due to a wedding. "We needed a place to stay in or near Vinci for the night before our 3 week stay in a nearby villa began. Il Piastrino looked lovely and was VERY well priced. And it was exceptionally nice—from the spacious, charming rooms (surprise—we had a kitchen), the delicious breakfast, to the warm and welcoming staff. We arrived very late toward the end of a busy pris fixe am fresco dinner service but we were settled in and set at ease. And yes, we returned a few days later for the al fresco dining. Wow....

"This was an amazing place with an even more amazing host. Patrizia was incredible. Super friendly and very available. She went out of her way to make our stay perfect. "Such a cute little Villa just outside of Pistoia. Stayed there all week. Kitchen was great with most items supplied. Bed was extremely hard which made it difficult to sleep. Couch in living rm was very old and hard to sit on. The owners are the BEST and try to make your stay most pleasing. Nice pool and views. Very convenient to Pistoia and Florence. Would use again, but can only hope they upgrade bed and couch. Would rate as a GOOD plus."

"We loved our stay at the Borgo La Casseta. It’s a family business, they have a small restaurant on the main floor. It takes approx half an hour drive up the hill to get there from Pistoia. A little bit tricky to find. Parking is free (gated property). The room was clean, separate bathroom. Breakfast was delicious. A spectacular 180 degree city/valley view. "

"Podere Castallare is in a beautiful location. Unfortunately we did not have a relaxing stay. Music was played at full volume directly into our bedroom from the bar from around 4pm - 11pm every day. It was so loud we could not spend time in our room. The air conditioner was broken and not fixed. We were treated rudley at dinner by the manager, which added to the tension in the atmosphere."
