Being pensioners we did find the stairs a little difficult especially carrying cases but then we quite understand you cannot need around with a listed building. "I really enjoyed my one night stay here. The staff was extremely helpful and took great care of me. Nice room, good breakfast, and VERY close to the train station. If you are arriving from London you can exit on the platform you arrive on and save a few minutes walk. Lots of construction at the station itself but this did not cause any noise problems while I was there. Very nice stay!"

"A perfect little stay - no muss, no fuss. Room had everything I needed. Wayne went out of his way to help me with some extra things and was generally very supportive. Shower was a bit confusing but I suspect that's due to me being American and not used to that type (but the medium setting with the knob at the first red dot was good for me). Pub just across the street was very helpful for meals since I didn't have a car. I'll be back!"
