"While the view of the Nile from both our rooms was spectacular, the only thing better was the service we received from the staff. They were so polite, friendly and accommodating, ever ready to help and make sure we were satisfied with everything. We have travelled extensively and can confidently say that the staff at Blue Lotus are some of the best we have experienced. The location is further out and really only accessible by car. Nothing nearby to walk to, but we knew that and were more than happy with the location. It was a quiet area, but with some construction happening. We ate at the restaurant so after our days out sightseeing, we stayed in for the evenings. Just note there are multiple exterior steps to go down and then up again into the hotel. I was travelling with an injury, but still managed ok. The rooms were large, good AC, excellent views, free water and complimentary breakfast was provided. Restaurant staff were excellent and I have no hesitation in recommending Blue Lotus hotels in Aswan. "

"Best location in Aswan. We have stayed here several times before. Top of the town and on the Nile. Quiet and tranquil. Upgraded to a Junior Suite. Great view and spacious. Management also allowed my cousin (who mistakenly booked the wrong hotel) to use the poolside with us after his trips. So, thank you. Unfortunately, some services could be better. I had to clean the balcony chairs from a layer of dust before use. No pool attendant or towels until after 10 am, and pool snacks always arrive cold. However, the guest relations managers (Monika and Sarah) were superb with us, and the General Manager Mr. Mohamed Ragab was an excellent host. I am confident that these small issues will be resolved to make our next stay even better. God willing, see you soon. Thank you. "

"All was excellent at this hotel. From receptionist to all the rest of the staff, either room caregivers and food service in the great restaurant by the Nile River. We are completed satisfied with all. Great hotel at great price in Aswan by the Nile. I recommend it to everyone."

"It was one night family stay in Marhaba Hotel. The staff was amazing, extremly kind, very helpful. We loved the swimming pool, my kids enjoyed it very much. The food served for breakfast was local, so if someone is not keen on it and wants something more " European ", unfortunately the choice is very limited. The hotel is situated right next to a very noisy road and there is some building/ renovation work going on on the side. As we were led to our room, it appeared the air-conditioning was faulty . It had a large balcony with the view on the Nile ( and the road as well, which you dont see looking at the profile pictures on the webside) . We were moved to another room, with a working air-conditioning but a tiny side balcony facing building side. We were not happy with that so the management offered 2 smaller rooms including one for smokers ( the smell of cigarettes was very strong, ash tray in the room) As we travelled as a family with 2 autistics kids, we insisted on one room. There was no other choice, only the family room without view, with a tiny balcony facing a wall and building side., even thought we had paid for a big family room with a view on the Nile. I understand, that the hotel is situated next to a dusty , busy road, , but the level of dust in the room was unacceptable. The toilet was dirty with unpleasant brownish marks. Unfortunately, we had an awful, noisy night. "
