" Being Yanks from the west coast of the USA we have always loved the Cotswolds. Where better than Cirencester to spend a quiet month getting to know the area and people. This is a Village with lots of beauty and history to savor. North Cerney, just five miles out in the country is a quiet little cluster of cottages with a local pub where the food was fabulous. Ask for the filet with stilton garlic sauce!!! Our cottage was warm, cozy and very livable, a great place to call home as we...

"Absolutely magical stay in this precious cottage. It captures all the charm of the Cotswolds and the host Maggie ensures your comfort from the start ... welcoming you with a cake and hamper of bread, jam and cookies and numerous recommendations along with a map of the area. She responded immediately to any questions we had and was beyond helpful. The village is an easy walk and the hikes surrounding the cottage are breathtaking. 18th century period holiday cottage in the Cotswolds with garden - Lavender Cottage, Bourton

9.2 out of 10, Wonderful, (31)
"This little cottage in in a great location in the village and has many pubs and restaurants within a few minutes walk. Because of its location car parking is not easy residents get very protective of their perceived space and put cones and no parking signs outside; in the summer months parking must be even worse. The property is an old cottage and is a little tired; it’s functional but has no finesse. The stairs to the bedrooms are difficult to negotiate and would not be suitable for the less...

5 bedroom Cotswold holiday cottage with a superb garden - Elm Bank

9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (21)
"We had an absolutely magical weekend in the Cotswalds. The property is perfect and exactly as described. Check in and check out were effortless, and the host was immediately responsive, even though Europe was in the midstate Verizon data glitch. It’s a short, beautiful stroll to Stow-on-wald and we spent a spectacular afternoon trekking to Bourton-on-the-water. The property is literally across the street from the Lower Swell pub which had great food and was an oasis of quiet local culture in a...

"A lovely 2 day break at the lakes, so peaceful and relaxing. Spa is great too and we pretty much had it to ourselves most of the time. Food in the tipi was also great, would have liked to have seen some more sweet breakfast and healthy options though. It would also be great if there was an on-site shop to buy any groceries/essentials to save having to drive elsewhere."

17th century converted barn in Cotswolds stone- 5 mins from Bourton On The Water

10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (37)
"A girlfriend and I wanted a few days R and R. This stunning property and location fitted the bill. The beds were so comfortable! Felt cocooned for a few days. Just what we needed. Would recommend the property to anyone wanted to get away from it all. Only downside was the check in process as it was dark by 4pm. We struggled to find the property despite good directions and then found we could not see very well to open the key box. "
