"Lovely room, great food & amazing staff."

"Lovely stay with excellent staff who were very welcoming and attentive during our one night stay. The accommodation was clean and well presented, although a little tired in places, which was absolutely fine for our stay. The bed was a small double, which was a little soft for my liking, although other reviews say the beds were great, so very much a personal preference. Don't let that put you off as out time here was great. The food is lovely in the pub, and as I said at the beginning, the staff...

"This was a great find at a reasonable price. Stayed in the family/suite room. The room had everything you could want including a detailed book of information for the hotel and local attractions. Food was also good and reasonable. Hotel does not currently offer breakfast. Overall, Fantastic! Would stay again :) "

"Really lovely staff and the check in experience was very pleasant. The room was just about acceptable in terms of cleanliness but the toilet was not clean and still had used paper in it. The room and the surroundings were very tired and beyond worn in some places, especially the carpet on the stairs which was very dirty. As there was no breakfast, we could not comment on it. It’s such a shame because the setting is quite pleasant and it could be a lovely place to visit. "

"The Hen House has only a few rooms.. Huge tea bags, hot choc etc. in room.. Nice friendly pub, in a delightful village. The only thing missing, was bed side table lamps! I slept well left feeling relaxed Thank you "
