"A wee couple of days in York. Nice and clean hotel.Staff friendly. Very close to the shambles, cathedral, shops pubs etc. about £ 8;00 taxi ride from main train station. Lovely staff. Could do with some place to hang coats . Separately esp in this wet weather. But otherwise …hunky dory."

The woman behind reception had walked out in a huff and left them waiting there for some time and when she finally returned, she refused to check them in. "Great hotel, very comfortable room and the location is perfect. Breakfast is wonderful and I used one of the business pods for a meeting…so easy to set up and and very comfortable. Had to use the NCP parking which is only a 3 minute walk from the hotel but the hotel offered a reduction (30%) so remember to ask at reception upon check out"
