"The hotel is in a fantastic location, and we had a great room with a balcony and a fabulous view. The downside was the weather! We had so much rain, and everywhere was damp and muddy. A la carte restaurant meals were fairly good, but the dinner buffets (which we were forced to have on occasions) were not very inspiring. We also discovered to our cost that the hotel does not have any meaningful first aid supplies."

"Beautiful villa that is a short 5 minute walk or 30 second drive to the beach. Plenty of room with 3BR, 3.5 bath with nice pool and rooftop terrace. AC units are in all 3 bedrooms and living room as well so the place stays nice and cool. This villa is in a VERY secure and safe area, security entering and exiting the community is strict and I always felt comfortable. Owner was very responsive and easy to work with. "The hotel is really secure and a safe. It is easy to find and in a good area. You can easily access banks and the supermarket in the area by walking. The hotel staff were excellent. We were able to communicate with few issues. The hotel staff also put us in contact with someone with a good tour and helped us get access to a bus to travel across the country. I definitely would stay here again and can’t recommend it enough!"

"My sister and her husband and their almost 2 year old daughter joined me and my husband and our 18 year old daughter for a relaxing week at Villa Nueva Romana. The house was spacious, well appointed, clean and met our needs very well. There were a couple of small issues (broken toilet seat, broken pool net), which were addressed immediately upon bringing them to the owner's attention. we would stay there again."

"Wendy’s place in was lovely, the pool was fun for cooling off and the house supplied with all the necessary cooking appliances. Wendy was quick to respond to communications and helped with any needs we had. There was a small issue with the security at the entrance not letting us in despite having our names on a list, but Wendy was quick to help resolve the issue. It is definitely a secure, quiet neighborhood. "

"I stayed 3 nights on business. No room service,(( bedmaking or sink cleaning.) That may be the norm for independent smaller places.
