"What a special place! It is a rural setting, some distance from town, so a car is recommended. To see the ocean out the window and on walks, along with cows, horses and chickens was such fun! The hosts are delightful and eager to help with anything we might have needed. We will definitely stay here again!"

"We had a very comfortable time in the cottage. When I asked Rachel if there was a coffee maker or French press in the home she said no and then messaged me that she’d gone out to get one for our stay. How lovely is that!? She left us a couple of treats as well. The cottage was cozy and quiet and had everything we needed for our winter retreat. "Charming lodge with a fantastic hot tub and log burner. The place is nice and warm and private (I think the bushes have grown since the other reviews!). We did reverse our car up to the top of the drive, this blocked off views to the garden. Short walk into Cartmel, Grange isn’t too far either."

"Lovely long weekend staying to celebrate a family members 60th birthday. Lovely cottage and surrounding areas, easy commutable distance to activities. All amenities thought off and lovely touch with some Halloween decorations which were enjoyed by all. Communication was amazing and the managers helped with making sure our surprise worked. Very spacious property and everything we thought out for everyone staying. Thank you for a wonderful stay"

"We had a really enjoyable stay at Woodpecker Cottage. We were celebrating a 60th birthday and 60th anniversary, there was plenty of room for all 13 family members inside the property and we enjoyed the outside space using all the facilities. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need. The bedrooms/bedding/towels all lovely and clean. We would recommend a stay at this property."
