Wenling International Hotel

5.0 star property
8.4 out of 10, Very Good, (5)
"Nice hotel overall. But too much construction around it. Also checkin process was really painful compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at. Asked me to confirm all my details on passport page, which seemed completely unecessary. No other hotel asked for this. And so far in my trip , I’ve stayed at 5 hotels. "

Learn more about Taizhou

Taizhou is calling! Discover its mountain views, temples, bars, and more.

The Wannian (Ten Thousand Years) temple on Emei Shan (Beautiful Mei Mountain) is a place of serene atmosphere. The quiet is impressive, the architecture is very nice and the atmosphere is imposing.

As you enter the compound the first thing you see is a walled pond with fish, turtles, stones and money. Believers throw in paper money and coins, and monks take it out with a net. Inside the main pavilion is a statue of a golden Buddha on a white marble elephant. In front of this statue people bow, kneel and pray. In the back believers gently stoke the elephant's legs for reasons I didn't manage to figure out.
