"Great stay, was here for business, and have stayed here a few times previously The breakfasts are great, and the rooms and hotel itself is really clean, although might need a refurb at some point. The staff are all really friendly and helpful. Did not have evening meals here as we ate out due to everything being in such close proximity to the hotel. "

"Reception was very busy on arrival, waiting 10-15 mins to check in. Weren’t advised before arrival that car park charges now applied. Comfortable room although revellers down our corridor woke us up when they came to bed. Always enjoy our stays at SHH."

"Great hotel to stay in for a trip to Winchester if you don't mind a short drive into town. Lovely hotel with good clean rooms. Nice breakfast. Dog friendly although we did think a £25 surcharge for a dog was steep. £10 would be fairer."

"This is a old property with loads of character there is definitely need for repairs but nothing that put me off staying breakfast is worth the money......... The only thing that put us off no water pressure so impossible to use the shower and you can't have a wash same thing no pressure "
