"We just stayed at the Caledonian for our wedding anniversary. Everything was outstanding from the friendly welcome of the concierge and check in to the service at breakfast We also had dinner in the Dean Banks restaurant with the tasting menu and the service and the food was again outstanding. The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the room itself whilst not the biggest was perfectly appointed. We would not hesitate to recommend to anyone to stay here. "

Was looking forward to breakfast but was let down by slow staff, incorrect order, delayed food coming once we’ve finished. Had to repeat the request so many times, not ideal. Food was adequate and had better at other hotels of a same star. Nice restaurant and view but let down by staff not being on the ball. "

"We enjoyed this day better than probably any we’ve ever had. We got one of the apartments in the back of the property, and it was phenomenal! It had a balcony overlooking the royal mile. It also had a full kitchen, washer dryer. Very easy to control the temperature with the Heater as well as the windows that opened. The bathroom was immaculate! I can’t say more about how amazing our week was! "
