"Pleasant stay, paid with Tesco vouchers so well worth the cost. Room was a bit dated and tired but very clean. Lots of equipment in the gym and nice swimming pool, steam room and sauna. Had to wait about 15mins to use though because only allow max number of 48 but this is actually a positive as not too busy. Pleasant evening meal and breakfast. Also close to a trail around an old Roman settlement which we enjoyed after checkout "

"In our 2-night stay we had no contact with anyone else at the hotel, but could hear othwr guests a little from our room. Check-in was easy with guidance sent in advance, and the room was cleaned well during the day. The accomodation was clean and comfortable, although the common areas were unlit during the day so quite dark. A small amount of shampoo and shower gel was provided, and the room had a kettle. "Far too many children making far too much noise in the swimming pool and more importantly in the restaurant. It completely spoiled my evening and I paid for a meal I couldn’t be bothered to eat. Signs could be put up instructing children are kept under control and noise kept at an appropriate level. "

Our only complaint was the manager challenged our son who was sat on balcony having a drink waiting for us. Accusing him of not being a guest and drinking his own beer. "Absolutely beautiful old hotel in a lovely setting. We have stayed before and we will be back as the rooms are so well decorated and equipped. We have stayed in so many hotels over the years and have never come across rooms so clean and the en-suite as well was immaculate. Staff are amazing and breakfast 1st class. Thank you for another great stay and we will be back soon."

"Have to say staff are so friendly and helpful, No doubt about this great location, It does require an update rooms spacious. Shame no breakfast or bar anymore like used to be but i class this as reasonably priced and you get adequate for the money you pay. Will definitely stay again."

Relaxing Holiday at the Holiday Inn

"Friendly and very accommodating staff. Very nice pool and gym facilities. Delicious dinner and breakfast. And kids eat free. Very spacious family room. Overall a very relaxing stay, which is just what we needed."
