"The cottage was very homely, filled with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. With special touches that obviously mean a lot to the owners, which made it all the more special as you felt like you were being trusted to care . I especially enjoyed the art work that was displayed in every room, my favourite being a little oil painting in the dinning room. All the bedrooms were comfortable and spacious , and the kitchen was well stocked. The cottage is situated just a few minutes walk away from the dunes and the beautiful sweeping beach. We drove about 5 minutes away to Horsley Gap to see the seals, fantastic sight, so many of them. We were there for a long weekend to celebrate our daughter’s 40th so didn’t do a great deal, but it was such a relaxing time. We ate at the Fisherman’s Return which was opposite the cottage, for our Sunday lunch, unfortunately it was a bit disappointing but it didn’t ruin the weekend. Poppy tea room though more than made up for it, as we had a really tasty,hearty breakfast there on the Monday, departure day. Really recommend the full English breakfast. The staff were very friendly and the cafe was dog friendly too, there was even dog treats on the menu ! All in all a lovely, relaxing stay, thank you Owen would love to return some day !, "
