"Hotel is very stylish and modern, with a central location for coastline, bars and restaurants. The rooftop bar and pool has fantastic views over the area. All areas of the hotel are spotless. We didn't use the spa, so no comments on that. Breakfast was great, lots of choice, both hot and cold. Room was nice, but (small gripe)would have liked bedside tables and charging points there. "Because of our delayed flight from the UK, we didn't book in until midnight. However, the hotel had arranged a taxi to collect us and kept us informed by email. Booking in was easily done and later in the morning, the fellow at reception provided me with a teapot of milk! The choice at breakfast was excellent and set us up for the day. "A very welcoming hotel with friendly and helpful staff . All areas are spotless and rooms spacious and comfortable. The grounds are immaculate and there is one heated pool . Very much appreciated in the winter months ! The hotel is in a convenient position with a short downward walk into Funchal and also benefits from certain areas within The Savoy Palace . Breakfasts delicious .. I could not fault this hotel and would definitely recommend. We will return ! "

"I love the location by a beautiful park, in a walkable area. Good price for older charming hotel. to be clear I dont like many modern hotels with soulless modern decor. The lobby is staffed, chocolate shop out front attached. Lift to all floors from parking garage. Setup for an extended stay but lovely for the 1 night we stayed."
