"A stunning place! The bar/restaurant and pool area are truly breathtaking and have been done to a very high standard. The staff were all fantastic and the food was generally good. There is lots to explore locally including the free waterfalls you can access from the hotel, a bigger waterfall further down the hill which id definitely recommend and Marino Ballena National park. "Superb property up on the Uvita mountains. As long as you have a 4x4, getting there is a fun ride. Staff was great and the spa facilities are really nice. The only thing keeping me from returning for a whole remote work week is the internet speed. It was spotty and not reliable for a prolonged work stay."

"We absolutely loved this place. Vayu Retreat is a very charming and quiet mini hotel with only 4 beautiful rooms, a great infinity pool, spacious terrasses to relax and a nice restaurant. "1) wrong address listed. Took me 20 minutes to figure out that the correct address was listed only in the email. Email wasn’t clear that google maps and Apple Maps was wrong. 2) no communication with the property as we were figuring out the address in the dark 3) villa booked wasn’t provided to us as their was no power in the villa which was initially booked 4) no internet provided during our stay. 5) had to figure out the water supply issue on one of the days of our stay 6) I have been trying...

"Getting there is half the fun! :-) As others have said, it's up, up, up a mountain, and then down a driveway, plus a lot of steps to the unit. But if you're used to Costa Rican roads, you'll have seen worse. The view is worth it, and so is the incredible waterfall/cave shower. Very romantic for a couple. "We stayed at Corozon del Rio for 7 nights with 3 of our adult children. The rooms were really nice and the open air kitchen/dining/living area was amazing. There were a lot of staples (oil, some spices etc) in the pantry which helped because we made most of our own meals while we were there. Everything we needed was there for cooking. Found Paradise in Costa Rica!

"I have been traveling for pleasure and for work throughout my life. I have been using hotels.com for on average 50+ hotel nights per year last 10 years. And finally, I felt I should leave a very positive review. Canavida Villas & Resort is the first booking where the everything exceeded the expectations. Top Location, service, communication, quality of stay, THE VIEW, the staff, the people, the pool, THE GRILL, the nature... I don't know where to start or to end. Basically images are in most hotel presentations showing a refined view of reality, in this case the nice photos of the property did not reflect the reality, IT WAS EVEN BETTER IRL! If you want to have a weekend or a week at one of the best locations in CR, then you just found it. Yes, it is on a hill = there is a challenging climb with your car, but you can get there with a 2 wheel drive. Uvita as location is also very nice, but why bother to go there except for grocery shopping, this resort is a paradise you don't want to leave!"
