"The Palace Hotel requires updating especially the rooms. Faded Grandeur. The lift is hit and miss. The restuarant has 2 menus however the staff only give al a carte ...although they do have a snack menu. Customer service needs to be looked into. When I questioned i did notice staff had taken off I.D badges off so i was difficult to assess. Found the staff to be quite rude and dismissive. Not an enjoyable stay im afraid. "

"The facilities, including the lodge, furnishings and buildings were tip top, much to like. The greenery - trees, gardens great. Some of the staff - especially house keeping were unresponsive/slow and if something was requested in the room, took too long, and once we requested towels at the swimming pool which were never delivered even after following up. "Kibo Palace Apartments is exceptionally good value if you stay for at least a full week. The apartment was spacious and had everything needed. In a very busy shopping area downtown, close to the market, Khan's barbecue and Five Chutneys vegetarian Indian restaurant, so an excellent though very different experience overall. Cleaning by request, so not intrusive. Basic toiletries and towel."
