"The room was spacious and I liked the all in one wet room. The building is old so if anyone is outside or loud in the bar you hear it. The one thing to note is the pool is not free - it's 5GBP for each use, which is not quite what was advertised. There's also no lift so you have to carry all luggage upstairs."

"In the main the hotel and staff were great. Our only issue was (what appeared to be?) poor sound insulation to the room, so when other guests were off to bed after midnight, voices in the corridor and banging of bedroom doors sounded as if our room door was wide open (which of course it wasn’t!)"

Garden is very pretty and has access onto the canal for a pretty walk. Harleys smokehouse restaurant, adjacent to the hotel served delicious food and the breakfast was generous and very reasonably priced. Would go back again."
