"The location was great, the windows of the room was not adequate. Only one of 3 windows could be open and when you open thw window /thwre was no acxess to walk from the bed. The AC was none existance and on 49F temp evening the room was 73F inside! They switch us to another room at 11pm, but temp was probably 70f blowing hot air . Their Wify was Very Slow!"

"Great Hotel (on the German side) with excellent location and tram stop 50m away. Hotel management needs to put more effort in signs and directions as it's one of the toughest hotel to locate inside the building. It's so dark and you can hardly read signs (nothing in English). Once located it's a great clean property with big rooms. I have given 4 stars purely due to poor signs. Also you need to carry your passport around as I got stopped by German police inside the tram travelling from Swiss...

"We were here last year as well. The hotel has a restaurant as well. The spa in the hotel is nice. There is also a public spa down the street which folks enjoy for a fee."

"Nive little gem just steps away from Laiser Josef strasse. Clean rooms and although the shower is small it has a great showeerhead for a refreshing morning. Superb breakfast buffet was in ledes in the price. "

"Very nice hotel with a great sauna that wasn’t super busy, restaurant had delicious food with a nice views, private beach on the lake was really enjoyable and even though our room was 300m up a very steep hill (and we had no car) the views were well worth it. Only downside was there was no spa treatments or massages available as the person was on leave. This town is definitely a place where you want to indulge in such activities, especially in peak August season. Would recommend staying here....

"Great place for walking and bird watching. Hotel is spotless and efficient but friendly. Only a few minutes walk from the train station and they give you a free ticket to use any train or bus for miles around. So you can be in the middle of Freiburg in half an hour. We were meeting friends so didn't try their restaurant. "

"Hotel Hirschen Glottertal is a lovely hotel in a very quaint village. This is a perfect place to stay if you are looking for a home base around many hiking trails and beautiful nature. The facilities and amenities are exceptional. It was a delight to explore the wonderful scenery and come back from a hike to a relaxing sauna session. The staff were accommodating and the breakfast and restaurant delightful. "
