"I would like to have given 5 star for service as when we ordered food from the bar the staff were attentive, polite and very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. However earlier in the evening I called the restaurant from the room to book a table, when I had only said hello I was met with a very abrupt ‘the line is terrible’ to which I stated ‘I’m sorry I’m calling from one of the phones in the rooms’. "Amazing, lovely staff , clean and comfortable rooms and beautiful furnishings. Fabulous breakfast! "

"An average guest house. Friendly staff and comfortable bed. I felt more could be done to reduce waste. For example using glasses instead of plastic cups in room; using shampoo and shower gel dispensers; using small dishes of marmalade and butter, weetabix in a large container rather than individual plastic wraps. Breakfast was ok though cooking of black pudding was poor and the bread could have been nicer. A bit noisy from room next door, you could hear the neighbours talking. "

"Overall it was a pleasant stay, the staff were really welcoming and friendly. Great location. Unfortunately no dinner service was available on the evening I arrived although I had requested this on my booking I wasn't informed until I arrived at the hotel. I wasn't particularly impressed at having to pay for parking and the berries at breakfast were still frozen! Other than than it was a really lovely stay, very dog friendly. "
