The staff are outstanding here from Ash at reception to Manuel in the dining room and Hannah in the spa. The many lounge areas are lovely and very tastefully decorated. This will be our go to hotel when we return to Ambleside! Thank you for an incredible 3 night stay! "

"This is a lovely hotel. Lots of space and fabulous views of the local countryside. The rooms are boutique style and the bed was comfy. Quite a basic breakfast but everything was good quality and hot. I will definitely return in the summer to enjoy the bar's outside space"

"Hotel is stunning and in a beautiful location. Check in queue took around 20 mins to get through but otherwise pleasant. Room was on floor1, room was nice but no fridge as stated ! This needs to be known for those who carry insulin pens and need to store them in the fridge or other medication that requires refrigeration.The bed was big and comfortable. No glasses in the bathroom so nothing to rinse with after brushing. Decor was dated and a lot of cobwebs around the ceiling. Otherwise all clean...

"The family annex was amazing. Clean, nicely decorated. The beds were very comfy. We had an evening meal in the restaurant. The food was delicious and reasonably price. Very happy with my stay at the Angel Inn"

"What an amazing place. A real medieval castle full of interesting historical features. Staff very friendly. Room large and comfortable (except the pillows which are a bit flat and lumpy). Food was excellent st dinner. "
