"When I decided to go to NOLA for a solo trip I knew I wanted to stay in a “boutique” property verses something large and commercial. The Pontchartrain came up in my search. The thing that attracted me right away were the aesthetics. I loved the colors and decorating style from the 1920s. I was not disappointed when I arrived! I loved my room. I loved the two restaurants I dined in regularly: 1. The Bayou and 2. The breakfast one across the hall (can’t remember the name). But try the grits, coddled egg and hollandaise breakfast with buttered toast. One of the most memorable breakfasts of my entire lifetime!! This hotel is also in a lovely location: the garden district, and a streetcar goes by right out front. I will definitely be going back to NOLA and this is where I will stay. "
