"I spent two nights in the Oban Bay Hotel - it’s in a beautiful location overlooking the sea front which is ideal for watching all the ferries coming and going. The staff were all helpful and friendly with a good sense of humour. The breakfasts were excellent and the French toast, bacon and maple syrup with the addition of vanilla ice cream was certainly a first for me and surprisingly delicious!! I would happily return for another break in the future."

"A perfect launching point for visiting all of Northwest Scotland. The staff was amazing and helpful. The rooms were spacious, well-appointed, and very clean. Large modern bathroom as well as all the little touches that made the stay very personal and far exceeded my expectations, especially for the cost! The town of Inverary is also amazing. Plenty of dining options that are walkable from the hotel. All were EXCELLENT. The only item I would mention to keep in mind is to ask for a room away...

Unfortunately the TV in the lounge area and in the bedroom had minds of their own, and while watching BBC News in the lounge area the TV in the Bedroom started to play a completely different programme! "The place is right next to the water - unobstructed view. The 0.7 mile walk to center of Oban was nice in good weather but we got wet several time (expected this for October). Public transportation was hard to find so needed our car. Our room was a little small and cramped, but we could see other larger rooms. Check in and parking was a bit of a hassle. Great “Continental breakfast “ that included meats, cheeses, baked goods and more- well worth the modest cost "
