I often use this hotel when away with my work, on this occasion I was with my partner.
Check in went smoothly as usual, we were allocated one of the new balcony rooms overlooking the spectacular Falls of Lora. The room has all the essentials that you may require with a good sized en-suite.
We had a couple of beers outside in the sun as we took in the view, it’s right next to the road but the scenery more than makes up for it.
Dinner was inside the bar, the food was excellent as always and we had a very reasonably priced bottle of wine to go with it from the small wine list that has most varietals so all tastes should be covered.
Back to the room to watch the sunset over the bay.
We both slept like logs on the comfy bed, not much in the way of road noise during the night. The only gripe is the emergency light that is in the room, it’s illuminated all night, not sure if that’s a new legal requirement.
We both opted for the full Scottish breakfast in the morning which set us up for the day ahead.
The staff and owners always provide an excellent service here and I will keep on coming back to this hotel.
