"Internet was not good, very weak. Our room was not too spacious. No chair or table in our room. Good location. Staff always there to help you. Beach front is a good place to watch locals in the evening time. staff make sure all the areas are clean all the time. Good breakfast buffet! Hot water and A/C very good. Enough TV channels. "We had a great stay at Pongwe Bay Resort! As soon as we arrived we felt taken care of and comfortable. We got to Zanzibar quite late but when we arrived we were welcomed with cool hand towels, our luggage was carried to our room for us, and our bed had beautiful hibiscus flowers laid on it. It was the perfect relaxing getaway! Prices were really reasonable, AC in the room was strong, and they arranged airport transfers for us which was convenient. "This was an amazing hotel! Great buffet style food and lovely staff. Beautiful ocean front Yoga studio. Small but acceptable gym. Pools were great. Happy hour on the upper deck was nice. Beach at low tide was good for walking but a lot of kelp. "

"This is the second time I visit Mvuvi (July 2023). On the positive side the new hotel is very nice especially the new swimming pool. The food is unfortunately not the same standard as last year and inconcistent. Sometimes very good and sometimes disappointing. The service is also too slow. I also believe the prices for excursions and watersports are too high. We did all activities outside of the hotel at much lower costs. "

"Loved our stay at the tempo b&b! The staff was amazing, especially the two men that helped us with our bags to the room. The dining room is right on the beach so you can have your breakfast staring out at the ocean. From our studio room, we were on the top floor and had a nearly 360 degree water view and we were right in the middle of the touristy part of town. "This is a very good small hotel benefiting from friendly and helpful staff. Room was comfy (good mattress), roomy and clean. The bar and food was all good too. It is also very convenient for the village supermarket. I would happily come back here. Points to note, this is a fairly lively part of the town and you should expect some noise at night. "Beautiful place. Very comfortable Staff is so friendly and saw to our every need. Only problem is it is far to drive to other parts of the island from-which we knew but it does make it difficult to explore. Also would be nice if they had some type of opportunity for food other than the set hours for breakfast lunch and dinner. Other than that it’s a beautiful place and would highly recommend "

"Beyond a beautiful setting, the staff and service make Mvuvi very special. Everyone is kind and helpful — including the drivers they use. They use a WhatsApp group to inform you of opportunities and activities. And a direct WhatsApp to organize transfers and answer questions. The breakfasts are delicious. I also loved the salt water pool. I stayed on the beach lounge side of the property in room 16 (up stairs) my colleague stayed in the room below (12) that had convenient walk out. Both had sea view. "

"The food, the service and the amenities were very good. It is a beautiful property and the staff are so helpful. There was some noise from the construction next door but we didn’t really notice it very much. The company running the diving and snorkeling excursions on the property were very organized and professional. There was entertainment 2 of the 4 nights we stayed. The Italian dinner night on the beach with dancing on Saturday night was a nice treat and the acrobats on the Friday night was great entertainment. "
