"We had a great stay at Pongwe Bay Resort! As soon as we arrived we felt taken care of and comfortable. We got to Zanzibar quite late but when we arrived we were welcomed with cool hand towels, our luggage was carried to our room for us, and our bed had beautiful hibiscus flowers laid on it. It was the perfect relaxing getaway! Prices were really reasonable, AC in the room was strong, and they arranged airport transfers for us which was convenient. "We really looked forward to staying at the Zanzibar Queen given other reviews. It didnt disappoint. Fantastic location in beautifully kept grounds. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. The pool area was clean and enticing. There was also boules, volleyball and badminton available to keep the body exercised. As well as table tennis and darts. The restaurant was superb. "Such a beautiful property! It was not crowded during our stay so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. Our suite was a bigger sized suite that was perfect for us. It looked out of the front of the property, and we had a little bit of a beach/ ocean view. The breakfast that’s included was made fresh every morning. The staff was very attentive. "This is a beautiful hotel in a great location, right in the middle of the very long Matemwe beach. We loved everything about the hotel. Our room - a junior suite with a beach view and balcony - was gorgeous and very large.
